I grew my hair out because I thought my brother's hair looked cool and I figured "Well we're brother's so it'll probably look pretty similar." It turns out it absolutely does not. (The first two pics are my brother's hair and the second two are mine)
Is there any way to change the quality of my hair with hair products, or is there just a styling technique I've missed? I keep growing it out with the hope that when it becomes heavy enough it will weigh down instead of poofing out, but it just doesn't happen.
Right now my routine is to use shampoo and conditioner and just let it air dry to prevent frizz if this helps.
I've tried everything, I use a wide tooth comb to prevent frizz, I let my hair air dry, I never sleep with it wet, I use a good amount of conditioner, heck I've even tried co washing for two weeks and it still poofs out.
On the other hand, my bro can use a normal brush, sleep with it wet, and go a full week without any frizz or poofing.
To sum up, if anyone could give me any advice to help me not look like a poofball I would be so grateful. Also to understand what my hair type is would be so helpful.
Thanks for reading! I wish you all the best.
