Hello. I am a long-time lurker, first-time poster. We own a small cabin on the outskirts of a popular, rural tourist destination in New York State. We have had it listed on Airbnb, for about 2 years now; however, given the downturn Airbnb has taken in general, and the state of the economy, we are thinking about having business cards available in the house binder for guests to take in case they want to book directly fora return visit. I think the cards should state explicitly," Returning guests of good standing are welcome to book directly." (We have had very few guests that would NOT be welcome to directly book, so far.) I'm working on the cards now and just got paranoid! Has anyone ever had a guest use this card to report you as a host to Airbnb? I am just picturing a new guest taking the card and using it against the host IF the host’s review of them is less than stellar- a whole new “retribution” possibility just unfolded in my head! Am I overthinking? Thanks for your thoughtful and kind advice.
