My daughter(14yo) was hit by a car while on her scooter. She was on her way to school and was in the crosswalk with a green light when a person making a right at red light hit her. The police are trying write her a citation by saying she didn’t press the walk button. So I called the and talked to the officer and he said he was going to investigate bc he had to talk to a witness. Then he said investigation was over in that same phone call before he even talked to the witness bc I pissed him off. I asked if there were any cameras and he said no. So I went to the intersection and found 3 cameras at a daycare center. There is a video that you can clearly see the intersection but the line is obscured by a bush. You can clearly see 3 cars. The first one stops, waits for another car to pass and then turns right. The next 2 cars you can see start to enter behind the bush and then emerge from the other side and make a right. It doesn’t seem like there is enough time for the car to complete a stop and then make the turn and also the extent of the damage would make you think this car didn’t stop and the accelerate but was slowing down and doing a rolling right turn. What can I do?
