I’m building a tree stump house and trying to recreate the texture as well as I can. Don’t ask me what tree species this is meant to be, I have no idea, I’m just freestyling this. I’m starting to work with the moss layer and trying to recreate the moss colour and texture - I thought this would be a good place to ask for advice. I kind of want to add moss in the nooks and crannies, but it seems like that would be the opposite to what actually happens in nature?

I started this project to get my joy back while dealing with multiple chronic conditions and to spend more time off screen. I’ve learn so much over the past weeks from needle felting, through knitting, crochet to even making basic electric circuits to get the lights right where I want them!
