I'm sure many people ask this, but I just can't figure out how to sing in my own voice and not just an imitation. Whenever people say to me "just sing like yourself" I don't get it. I don't know how to change the pitch of my voice without trying to sound like another person. Even when I watch videos explaining like "Oh now do this pitch" I just end up mimicking the voice of the person explaining. So I'd like to know what I should actually do.
