New Glitch or New Way Of Theft
Im somewhat new to reddit and dont usually post but here we go.
Today I was dashing in my normal area when a "Pro Shopper" rated order popped up. $15 for 3 miles, go to a Kroger store a pick up some cold and flu medicine. I accepted that order because in my area where its flooded with lots of lower tip orders and slingshotting you into a new zone, its best to take orders that are strictly in my preferred zone unless the order either pays enough to take me back or I know the area is gonna be booming. I drove across town got to the store only for my phone to notify me
"missed delivery opportunity".
I looked on my dasher app and saw the order i had accepted and drove to was now gone. I didnt unasign I would have no reason to. So I called Support, after the very helpful AI constantly asking the same question over and over, I finally got it to take me to an Agent. But alas that wasn't as much help as I thought it was going to be. The agent then proceeds to tell me the order was canceled and then given to another selected dasher. Excuse me but what? They wouldn't clarify, and kept saying that nothing can be done but document so document i did and I recorded the whole conversation. I then also asked for a supervisor. I know if anything the bottom level employees cant do anything and most likely domt care enough to do so.
After persisting I was able to get the agent to transfer me to a supervisor, in which before they did, kept asking me "are you sure there was nothing that was making you from wanting to unasign?" I kept reiterating that I never would have unassigned and that the order was preferable to me. After getting transferred to the support "Supervisor" they proceed to tell me immediately that they can fix my completion rating and restore the point that was dinged on my account. I agreed had them do it, and as I am trying to get more explanation on the scenario, I get hung up on. Im so glad to know that we have a very helpful and enthusiastic set of people working for doordash to help us, the people who actually make this company run
