Hello, Since last year in July I had a terrible cold, and for 3 months I had a sore throat, went to the speech therapist, family doctor, emergency and asked acupuncturist etc, no answer, you have to wait. I am 46 years old now. The only lead I got was to check the book Acid Watcher Cookbook, I followed it for 2 months straight very regimented. I got a laryngoscope, endoscopy, took PPI and nothing would make this sore throat, swallowing, edema on my face go away. I then travel to South America this summer and I went to see 2 ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) specialists, to see what they said. I got a CT scan of my face and my sinus was OK, both of them diagnosed me with allergic rhinitis. I use a spray twice a day called Dymista and I have as an emergency pills with antihistamine. I still have post nasal drip, but I use Estrogen Patches (that qualifies as hormonal replacement) as of March. I feel my immune system has changed. I currently follow a low acid diet as I have a hiatal hernia, I use Dymista, I have placed a Levoit air purifier in my bedroom and living room and I journal daily how I feel. Let me know if you have similar experiences.
Update** I switched my nasal spray to Ryaltris and it is so much better and softer on my nose, I had to learn from the pharmacist how to put it properly, so ask before you start using it but I recommend it. I purchased a SHARP humidifier and air purifier on my bedroom and it has been very helpful. I also take Quercetin for allegies, DAO enzymes that I am trying for the past 2 weeks, CQ10, Melatonin at night with a product called Reflux raft to help my esophagus.
