love letter (ode to the Sun)
once, in the middle of a really cold and really long winter, i wrote this poem on a bus:
'why do i crave warmth so much?
please make me tea and feed me your favourite soup
spoon by spoon
please tuck me in and stroke my head
when you see me shiver in bed
please tighten my scarf
as the snow outside seems to be warmer than your heart'
now i feel the Sun on my back and i smile because i thought i would be cold forever.
everything feels so warm with you. the spring came and i got to spend it with you. and i want another spring with you. i want every spring with you. there is no spring without the Sun.
sometimes i go out and speak of you to the trees and the Sun starts smiling at me as if it left you behind on purpose, so that my heart could bloom in your light.
everytime i see you i feel like i've just came home. you feel like something i prayed for. like something i craved. for the first time in life i got to experience the feeling of being loved after many years of thinking i'm not worthy of it. everything has been better since you.
i hope life is kind enough to let me keep you forever.
