I am 25M a bit overweight. I have DSP Physical in about 3 months. It includes :-
- 1600m in 7.5 min
- 1.10 m high jump
- 3.60 m long jump
- 2.0 m vertical rope
Last year they told people to run 1600m on road in patiala. So preparing for the worst, I want to run on road. Please suggest me
-some shoes specifically for indian roads
-people say I’ll get bad knees by running on road what’s the truth in that and any precaution.
-Also should I be wearing langot while running for testi. protection.
Now, for strategy I was thinking
- 1st month endurance building by running 2,2.5 km
- running 2,3 times a week. Rest, stretching and light weight training on non running days.
- Then 2nd,3rd month focus on timing 1600m
