Slade has not looked great so far and it may be time to explore other options. Lining up nicely with him is Rorik Maltrud, who started last night for the AAA Columbus Clippers. Admittedly, he doesn't have the excitement and track record as Khal or Tugboat, but check out this righty:

2.08 ERA and .95 WHIP so far this year in 34.2 IP. A little low with 26 punchouts. Last night he had 8 in 7 IP. It might be time to give him a look.
