[Golf 7] rattle noise cold engine : Injectors or DMF or something else ? Please read the full post :)

I have a golf mk7.5 1.6 TDI, with a dsg7.

Did diagnostic and no DTC code is showing up, so had to do with basic tools like attaching my phone to engine cover and use the car.

- the rattle only happens when car is moving, in idle it doesn't happen. I hear it right after gear shift. Beyond 2000rpm it fades away.

- If I start hearing it and switched to N while moving, it goes away. I can hear clutter noise in phone recording in cold start.

- had some rattle noise (last winter) even with car not moving, but I suspect having a separate issue with the glow plugs or injectors. But with no DTC it is hard to decide

Hope this is clear for someone to help with my case 🙏.

Hello,

I hope someone helps me with this problem. And sorry it it's too long, the issue is vague.

So my golf 7 1.6 tdi that I own for a year now started doing a rattle noise. Please find a video that shows the issue. I have no fault code.

Conditions to have noise:

Cold engine

Engine under load

Rpm under 2000. Once above it disappears

I should also note that the engine is very weak when it's cold, and that makes me downgrade the gears.

I took it to a garage and they said low pressure pump is failing and doesn't deliver enough fuel to engine, which is not true based on some live data I gathered using obd11.
