Hey yall, I inoculated this grow back in December and it’s been in fruiting conditions for about two weeks now, this is my third grow and is looking to be the strangest one yet.
I moved the cake from an AIO bag I started after my S2B grows failed as a last ditch effort. Which seems to be a mild success
However I’m running into some problems,
Picture 1 - the colour and size varies greatly from mushroom to mushroom, while Jack Frost are known for their snowy white cap colour, most of mine are dark and blue, could these be aborts?
This is also an unmodified monotub, I haven’t made any holes for FAE but I keep the lid cracked open evenly on each side to allow continuous air and I mist the sides every few days.
Picture 2 - primordia/hyphae knots growing ON mushrooms, I have no idea why this is happening or what to do about it and it looks freaky.
Picture 3 & 4 - I’m noticing clusters of white capped pins coming in, and look to be a better colour for what strain they’re supposed to be. Should I harvest others around them and let these grow out or let them all grow more and harvest then?
I’ve harvested some quicker mushrooms as they’ve gone along and broken their veils but I’m not sure when to do a full harvest and next flush due to the sheer amount of tiny pins that may or may not grow/develop further.
Any tips or advice would be super appreciated!
