Has anyone ever worked with invention consultant? How did it go?

Hi all!
We have a mix of inventions at different stages.. some are still ideas, while one has already been sold multiple times. We’re considering working with an invention consultant to get guidance and possibly move things forward.
Has anyone here worked with an invention consultant or product development firm?

Was it worth it?
Did they add real value?
Anything you would do differently?

Appreciate any honest feedback.
Thanks in advance!

Any contact in military engineering/design department

Hi All!

While developing one of our products, we created a way to extend native MIPI DSI/video over fiber. Our engineers believe there are very few solutions like this currently available and that it could be useful in military and avionics applications.

The system allows native MIPI video transmission over long distances (up to 1,000 ft) with very low power usage and minimal EMI/interference since it uses fiber.

We’re trying to connect with the right military engineering or design teams to better understand if there is a need for this type of technology.

If anyone knows the best way to reach the appropriate engineering/design departments or has relevant contacts, we would really appreciate the guidance.

Happy to connect through direct message as well.

Thank you!

Hi All!
While developing a product, we had to invent a way to extend native mipi dsi/video over fiber. My Engineers are telling me no one else has this and they could see it being applicable or needed in other industries. So we're reaching out to B2B marketing and sales folks to see if you've ever received requests from customers. We also plan on reaching out to embedded Engineers but they are typically not customer-facing. My Engineers are saying this allows native mipi video transmission over 1,000 ft, with extremely low power and low Emi emission or potential interference as the medium is fiber. They feel this could be applicable in avionics and Military applications so we're trying to understand if there's a need. Hope you all could help and would appreciate a direct message if you want to talk further.

Here are a couple questions that customers might think about or ask, that my engineers said I should add to the post:

Have you ever had issues with DSI not reaching your display or processor?
Would a simple plug-and-play extender help?
Just trying to see if there’s real demand.
Thanks!
