The Apple Contractor Experience: High expectations, low morale?

I’m currently a contractor at Apple and I’ve got to say—I don’t like it. The brand name is great, but the day-to-day is a grind with very little of the "magic" they sell to the public.
Anyone else here feel like the contractor role at Cupertino is just a way to get cheap labor without the commitment? I'd love to hear some honest opinions from people who have been through the 6-month or 12-month cycles. Is it better elsewhere in FAANG, or is this just the state of the industry in 2026?
