Hey! I’ve been an applicant priorly to US based grad programs so Ik the application cycle in US - prep in summer, apply by dec, hear back early jan-feb, interviews, and decisions by Apr!
There’s general consensus is to reach out to PIs in late summer, apply to a PI/lab and mention in SoP, among other things.
How different or similar is it to application cycle @ unis based in europe and canada? As an outsider i have no clue and i am considering phds in European countries and Canada! Where to start?
Also there are a few mentorship programs that support during phd applications, (like npsp) are there any in europe and canada?
