Need new set of cookware in the US.
Im looking for a new set of pots and pans. I have an electric stove. One thing that I am focused on is having "safe" materials. I learned, too late, that some of the non-stick coatings can be carcinogenic or contain other harmful elements. Ive never had a "real" set of cookware. Ive been using a set from when I initially got married 11 years ago. The lining is peeling and chipping off. So, its time for new. I use pots normally, like for boiling or stews, and pans for sautee or cooking meats and veggies in stir fry fashion. I definitely need a pan good for eggs but without harmful chemicals for non-stick. I'd prefer to be under $300 but if its gonna last a long time and is safe from hazardous coatings, i dont mind spending more. In terms of cooking skills, im probably a higher level novice to lower average, with pro chef being the highest on the scale im imagining. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
*i did read the section dedicated to cookware but reading is not a strength for me. Otherwise, i wouldnt ask.
