Waterproof sunscreen recommendation

Does anyone have any good waterproof sunscreen recommendation for melasma? Tinted and untinted?

Currently using brush on block spf50 untinted plus ilia super serum, tinted. We'll be going on a lake trip for 4 days(I've got little kids) so looking for waterproof options.

Melasma and electrolysis upper lip

Hello! Curious if anyone has done electrolysis with melasma on upper lip?

I did one session of laser back in Feb/2026 and two months later it caused a melasma flare or PIH, the NP who looked at me didn't confirm whether it was just melasma or PIH as well but some of the darkness started to fade within about ten days (still there, just faded). I had some brown patches on my upper lip when I got laser but having never heard of melasma I thought it was maybe freckles and my laser tech never said anything about it. I'll be talking to someone new in a couple weeks to ask. Anyway, since then it seems my upper lip hair is growing faster, it could be my imagination but I got my lip threaded and within a week my hair is fully grown to be threaded again and I was never like that before.

My concern is that now with melasma I have to apply sunscreen and tinted sunscreen every 2-3hours, even if I'm indoors. So I'm confused about electrolysis and people sYing you can't apply sunscreen for 24-48hours? I'm already trying to avoid direct sun but I do have little kids so I'm bound to be out there. Yard time, park, driving to school and activities. What did everyone else do?

Another thing, people say to use a gentle moisturizer/cleanser. What exactly does that mean? Can anyone give me recommendations?

I am a Hispanic female, I'd say Fitzpatrick 4
