Should I major in physics?????

I just finished my 2nd year in general sciences at my uni and was thinking about switching to physics. However, I’m not sure if it would be best for me. For starters, I was not super interested in what I learned in the two first year physics classes I took. Those classes covered dynamics, waves, electricity, light, and radiation. I found the content to be quite boring, especially dynamics. However, I really love math and have already completed up to calc 4 and PDEs. I did somewhat like E&M as the math was quite pleasant. A math major is out of the question for me as I don’t think it will get me to where I want to go. But if I went into physics I would already have most of the pure math out of the way.

So my concern about majoring in physics is less about the workload and rigor, but more about how interesting the classes get as one progresses through the degree. Most of the year 2+ physics classes look super interesting, but I’m not sure how the actual content will be. If there’s a lot of theory in those classes then that’s perfect for me, but if most of them are like physics 1 & 2 where you just regurgitate formulas like a robot, then idk.

I’ve also seen a lot of folks here say that a physics undergrad is only good for people wanting to pursue further education. I am one of those people, so that doesn’t bother me either.
