I have a family member recently diagnosed; we're going to the oncologist tomorrow to make a plan, almost certainly chemo and immunotherapy, with possible amputation.

I need to feel a little hope here amidst the fear and anticipatory grief. Do you have a "happy ending" to your story? Is there any light to be shone into this current situation? And will our oncologist possibly have any good news to offer us?
