Hey everyone, first time dad here and could really use some advice.

Our baby boy is 10 days old, and it feels like he’s doing most of his sleeping during the day. At night, we’re following a pretty consistent routine… feeding every 2–3 hours, burping, diaper change, keeping things calm… but when it comes time to put him down in the bassinet, it’s been almost IMPOSSIBLE.

He’ll fall asleep just fine in our arms, totally calm and comfortable. But the moment we try to put him down, he wakes up almost immediately and often starts crying. We’ve tried white noise, swaddling, soft background music, dim lights… no luck so far.

Is this normal at this stage? Any tips or things that worked for you to help your newborn sleep in the bassinet at night?

We don’t mind the snuggles, but we’re definitely running on very little sleep and trying to find a sustainable way to get through the nights.

Appreciate any advice 🙏
