I started Zep one year ago at 347 pounds. I contemplated weight loss surgery twice. I even went so far as to start the “classes”. But there was something in me that just couldn’t go through with it. Then this miracle drug Zepbound came out!!! Now, here I am, 1 year later, 142 pounds less - and 5 pounds away from “onederland” lol. I am going to be 54 this year and with having RA, I have already had multiple joint replacements and other various surgeries. With this weight loss it DEFINITELY makes it’s easier to get around. And by golly, I not only feel better but I am proud of myself!!! I wore my son’s LARGE sweatshirt this weekend!!!!! What??!!???!!???
I would ultimately like to lose about 20-25 pounds more I think. I do have a lot of loose skin unfortunately and I’m trying to use some weights to help with that as well as exercising in the water. But I am limited on what all I can do. I am going to look into look surgery down the road for skin removal bc my insurance will cover it. I am so so grateful for this incredible medicine and the tool it provides for us!!!!
