Lore Question: What's up with the multiple vehicles/one robot Cardbots?
I am a huge fan of combiners, and I think they make for great toys. Cardbots has a bunch of combiners that are multiple vehicles that combine to form one robot form, and that's something Transformers hasn't done a ton of. I'm curious what's the lore behind this? How does a cardbot become one of these combiners? Are the vehicles all sentient in alt mode, or is there a core vehicle (Solidhorn's truck) that controls the others as drones? Is there a prevailing theory about them, the way it's generally accepted that Triple Changers in Transformers are at least a little insane?
Also, in cases like Grand Blue Leon (name?), do the two robots form together to create a new, distinct personality, or are they both in control of the final form?
Nothing huge, just interested in how this is handled in Metal Cardbots. "They don't really go into it" as as valid an answer as anything. 😄
