Hey everyone, I'm a beginner golfer myself and got frustrated trying to learn from scattered YouTube videos and confusing terminology. So I built a free Android app called Golf Basics that puts the fundamentals in one place.

What's in it:
\- Step-by-step learning modules (grip, stance, swing basics)
\- Glossary of golf terms (no more pretending you know what "fried egg" means)
\- Score tracker with 2,500+ courses worldwide
\- Daily tips and quick quizzes
\- Mental game guide and pre-shot routines
\- Free 7-day trial of premium features (no credit card needed)

It's still early days and I'm actively improving it based on feedback. If anyone wants to try it and tell me what's missing or confusing, I'd really appreciate it.

Search "Golf Basics Learn Golf" on the Play Store, or DM me and I'll send the link.

Not trying to spam — happy to answer any beginner questions in the comments too.

Ok so I picked up golf about a year ago and honestly the hardest part hasn't been the swing — it's been everything around it. Constantly googling terms mid-round, forgetting what club to grab, scribbling scores on the back of a receipt.

Got fed up and built an Android app for myself. Called it Golf Basics. It's free.

What it does:
- Explains all the random terms (took me a while to learn what a "fried egg" was lol)
- Tracks scores at like 2,500 courses
- Has beginner lessons on grip and stance
- Daily tips so I'm actually learning between rounds
- Some pre-shot routine stuff for when I'm overthinking on the tee

I'm still adding to it. Mostly just want feedback from people who've been through the same beginner pain. What did you guys struggle with most starting out? Anything you wish someone had told you on day one?

If you want to check it out it's "Golf Basics Learn Golf" on Play Store. No pressure though — happy to just chat in the comments.
