After this year’s Snooker World Championship ended, I started wondering why we still haven’t seen a Moroccan snooker or pool player really make it far on the international stage. Morocco has had some players over the years, but none managed to break through at the highest level yet.

At the same time, these last couple of years I’ve noticed real improvement in the local scene. More of our Moroccan players seem serious about the game and are trying to make the culture cleaner, more respectful, and more professional than it used to be.

Maybe one day we’ll finally see a Moroccan player competing among the best.
