What causes this small difference?

What causes this small difference?

I know it probably only makes a tiny difference and doesnt really matter, but why does maka prefer chun here? I know about the fact that you should discard chun if haku is visible for a slight slight slight increased chance at ura dora, but hatsu is also visible so what's the difference if they're all now equally likely to be ura?

Why does MAKA say this?

(Im left) Why would MAKA ever suggest dropping a terminal in this situation? The only tile I could be waiting on for this hand to be big is 1p 9s 1s 9p East, no other honor is possible. It's like 1 in 5 when there are no hints that the 7m deals in.

I had such a big lead and waiting gives me double points, keeping myself in the dealer seat longer and only gaining half the points seems counter-intuitive, ideally someone else rons of someone else and the game gets closer to ending with me in lead, no? Also I have free will and really wanted to do this at least once.

This is gonna sound kinda mean spirited but is it just for ego? Is it worth it when you lose so much and gain so little? If you cant play your room maybe you dont deserve your rank and should be deranking - not in a mean way though. Even if he just got tilted in Jade room so he wants to club some seals surely its better to just log off for a bit and clear your mind than risk losing so much.

I understand why you would dama this, I realised I should have immediately after calling riichi (ippeikou from 2s,5s and pinfu from 2m) but im not sure why discarding 1m is better, does it want me to completely cut 1m3m shape and use 3s as my pair, 7p9p9p as a contender for a complete shape? That would decrease my value, no? So why is discarding 7p worse than discarding 1m?
