Hi, I hope everybody is having a good day. In a few hours, the Romantasy event is going to start, and I have noticed that some people have problems completing the events, so I'm going to explain as much as I can about what I have done to complete the 3 previous events (I actually completed Albert's event twice). And if you have any other tips or a different way to complete the event, then please comment yours, it can be beneficial for other players.
NOTE: I'm talking about the mobile version. I have heard that the PC one is actually harder, so if someone can comment on how hard it is and if it's necessary to spend diamonds to complete it, please do so.
NOTE 2: In the mobile version, I have NEVER needed to spend diamonds to complete the event, and I usually finish it after 2 days (I think the events last usually around 4 days)
NOTE 3: I'm sorry if it is overexplanatory, but that's for new players who have never made an event. If you have doubts, then please ask in the comment section, and I (Or probably somebody else), will try to help you.
Where to start?
The beginning is where you should be connected for some time, around half an hour.
First of all, you have to activate the Ad boost. If you activate them around 2 or 3 times a day, you will finish the event pretty easily. Second, at the beginning, we have a very limited number of time blocks, so you will need to move them among hobbies and jobs. This will get easier while the event passes and you get more time blocks.
What to do with the stars/clues?
This is the most important resource of the event, you get 1 every time you level up a guy, 3 when you get them to max level, and some extra when you reach some goals of the event.
First and more importantly, save them until you can buy the permanent boost at the shop; for me, it has been functional to buy first the "8x", then the "4x", and last the "2x". You can be tempted to boost jobs and hobbies, but I would recommend being pretty frugal with this until the end(I will explain more about this in the next section, and the only exception to this rule). Also, there are permanent boosts as rewards for reaching goals of the event, but they are NOT the same as the shop; if you get them and also buy the shop ones, you will get more speed.
What about the money?
About the money, you will usually get enough to level up your guys (maybe a little slow, but in a few hours, you get enough). Until you reach around the middle of the event, then you usually start to need a big amount to buy gifts.
In the last events with only boosting ONE job, it has been enough. If you do the math and think you can buy the permanent boost and some hobbies, then you can buy 2, but in the previous events, it wasn't necessary.
What you need here is to find which job will give you more money. I have noticed (kinda obvious) that the jobs that need more time blocks are the ones that will give you more money, and usually the one that needs more time blocks is the last one, so yeah, you will have to wait until you unlock the last job to boost it (You can choose if you want to boost it after getting the "4x" or the "2x", but usually the big jump about the money comes kinda early, so yeah, you can boost one job and it shouldn't be a problem).
What about the hobbies?
I know that it is tempting to boost the hobbies to feel you are getting more goals and getting closer to getting the guy, but I have noticed in other posts that people who usually have problems are the ones who make this.
You will boost the hobbies, but you will do it until the end of the event, because you can only boost 3 to 5 hobbies in every event, so if you spend the stars/clues early in the hobbies, you will get to higher levels without any stars and having to wait a lot of hours to level up 1 level, and pray that the hobbies you have activated were the ones that you need it (this will get you pretty tight to get the new guy).
So when you are at the end of the event, with the shop boosts activated and one or two jobs giving you enough money, then do the math: how many stars do you have, how many you will get, and how many levels up you need to finish it; then boost the hobbies that you need when you see that you have enough to finish the event (This usually happen when you have all the guys around 5 levels left to finish the event).
The only exception about the stars/clues
I have followed those steps in every event, and I could finish them easily, but there is one event (I think it was Mac's) where it wasn't necessary to buy the "2x" of the shop, and this was because I did the math and noticed that when you got enough stars/clues to buy the "2x" you would be only 1 level away to complete all the event, so it was usless to wait until that point to get the "2x" boost, so I spent the stars/clues in the hobbies instead and it worked(Now, this one the only time I calculated it and it was worth it).
Conclusion
It is possible to complete the event easily and without expending diamonds (in the mobile version). This guide has been functional to me, but every event is different, so in the end of the day, you will need to do your own decisions about what to do and if it's necessary to modify it.
