I'm doing work in portrait, I have facing pages ticked for two-page spreads. However for a few specific pages I need more space and they would perfectly fit across both pages on one spread. I want to remove this line as it always appears on top and disrupts the image, but also keep it if the double-spread format if possible (??). Thanks for help
EDIT: meant to be exported and viewed as a pdf.

I'm trying to draw a black rectangle at 10% opacity, fully filled. However I can't seem to find a setting that actually lets me fill the shape. It stays invisable and I can still see my gridlines behind it with no colour whatsoever. Any help?
Edit: I somehow did it, apparently my layer was set to "do not print" or something like that. I switched it back (so unticked that option) and it works. Fine by me, those rectangles were image placeholders so they weren't going to stick around
