Hands too fast?

I recently got a comment from my instructor that my hands are too fast on some of my throws (tai otoshi for example).

In a follow-up conversation, we discussed that the fast hands are actually a benefit but my feet need to catch up.

Has anyone else had this issue? How did you fix it?

My thoughts include working on my footwork as well as trying to make the hands a bit more jerky (meaning slowing some parts down and aggressively accelerating in some others to make the kuzushi better).
