Lasagna Love - what's a good standard lasagna recipe?

I signed up to make and donate lasagna for Lasagna Love, and will do my first batch this weekend. For my family, I usually make either a spinach/ricotta lasagna or do the super rich layered lasagna with ragu and bechamel. I usually use homemade lasagna noodles, which I think taste enough better to be worth the effort. But for a lasagna made for a family I don't know - what's a good classic, basic recipe that would please most tastes? Meat sauce layered with cheese mix? A cheese lasagna with a good tomato sauce?
