The Saga Series

Genuine question. How does one get into the Saga series? I started playing Saga Frontier and stopped. Took up BOF4 and beat it. The reason I stopped was because I was so confused. I followed suggestions that said start with Red's story. But it's so bizarre and confusing. I'm not sure it's for me at all. But I do feel I'm missing out.

Breath of Fire 4 was solid...

I beat BOF 4 since week for the first time. Its one of those games that for whatever reason I've never really gotten around to playing. But I had a bit of free time last month and really got into it. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how much I found myself endeared by the story and the characters. The gameplay loop was simple, the story was thematic but easy to follow, awesome visually to see. I mean overall it was such a pleasure to play. It didn't reinvent the wheel in terms of storytelling or anything. But idk man, it did everything in the right amount. A solid 8/10 experience for me. What are your thoughts on the game? Do you think it was the best one?
