Will I get fired?

I have started a new job recently and remained PRN at my old job. I got a text today from my old manager saying that the HIPPA Compliance people have emailed me regarding my access of electronic record of a household member. My grandma was hospitalized December 2024, during that time I was just checking her chart for lab related stuffs. The email stated that my access was on April 13 2026. I can not recall why I would need to access her chart on Epic since I have her record logins. I understand a it’s a violation of HIPPA and I know what I did was wrong/stupid. I’m wondering if I will get fired for this. And if I do, will my future employer know why I was fired?

For those that works/worked at the VA, what was your orientation like? I was told it’s 3 days long and I can’t really imagine what it’d be like. At my first job orientation was 1 day and we just went over benefits and how the hospital came about.
