Hey all,

I’ve seen so many people begging for jobs and tips because they keep getting knocked back or don’t even get a reply (this was me until 4 months ago). I completed the pre app and had no luck for over a year, I’m from regional victoria and had to go to melbourne to work.

Today at the toolbox we had a ETU rep come out to talk to us! if your in the Melbourne area or are willing to commute to melbourne (mostly western suburbs) please please please apply to either Maxim, SKS, alternatively apply to FrontLine Human Resources.

Most of these companies are all working on data centres, (which already have at least 5 or more years of stable work)

All are begging for apprentices and do not care if u have a pre app or not!!

(In saying this, from experience and talking to many other apprentices and A grades, I would highly suggest not working for a certain company *cough cough Appselec cough cough* )

(Frontline is a GTO so will subcontract you out to either Maxim or SKS, but please please look into it)

I’m really struggling and could use some advice. I work long shifts (8+ hours a day) in Construction as an apprentice. (It’s about a 10 minute walk to and from the lunch sheds), and I’ve been dealing with pretty bad chafing on my inner thighs.

It gets very irritated and painful to the point where walking becomes uncomfortable by the end of the day.

I’ve tried different types of work pants that are supposed to help, but they haven’t made much difference. I’ve also experimented with different underwear styles (some help a bit more than others) but I still haven’t found a good solution.

Does anyone have tips for preventing or managing this during long workdays? Products, clothing suggestions, or routines that have worked for you would be really appreciated!!
