One of the mods on r/Doraemon when full AI bro and bans anyone who calls him out

Hello, first post. Normally I don't follow drama like this, but since Doraemon has played a large part in my childhood it was disappointing to see the sub ruined this way.

The thread in question: https://www.reddit.com/r/Doraemon/comments/1t830m3/announcement_about_ai_use_in_this_fanclub/

A bit of backstory, the Doraemon sub has suffered from the lack of moderating before long. Many of the mods are new and inactive, before that it was mostly fill with instagram and low effort posts, thus many mods were appointed. You can read this thread for more info.

The OP is the oldest active mod in the sub and went tyrannical.

Point 1 is ridiculous. Ban all ai art. It's an insult to every artist

+ Go live in China if you believe "I'm insulted" is a basis for censorship.

+ I'm against AI witch hunt (which has done real damage to real artists). Claiming something is AI without proof is base for dismissal. Read my comments in this thread for reasons I think there's nothing fundamentally wrong/unethical about AI training. Let me be quite frank: The real reason many artists are anti-AI is the fear of being replaced/losing their jobs. A valid concern. At the same time, I don't favor halting the development of technology. Rather, I'm for using the tech to one's advantage, like how technology is always meant to be used: to aid humans. Second, AI is improving at a lightning speed. I believe we ALL will be replaced by AI in the next 50 years (except the politicians, of course)...

+ AI doesn't harm artists. It changes the market the same way photography and digital art changed the market. If someone can be replaced by AI entirely, the uncomfortable truth is that their work didn't offer unique value to begin with. The claim that "AI uses an enormous amount of water" has been debunked by scientists on Youtube. Do some research before jumping on the hatewagon. Also, blaming AI for environmental damage while using smartphones, streaming services and social media is ironic.

Regarding point no.1, why not just make a rule that the use of AI is banned in this sub..?

+ No reason to ban AI.

+ Are you against AI replacing doctors, engineers, and actors as well?

+ Yes, it will. I have no doubt. AI is progressing very fast. Currently it can read medical imaging as well as radiologists and pass medical licensing exam. So are you against AI replacing cashiers and manual jobs? Do you use self-checkout machines at the supermarkets?

OP is a ridiculous AI praising turd. Y'all are trying to reason with an individual who thinks it's Totally fine for millions of artists' work to be fed to the slop machine unconsensually (promoting theft of artwork) and claiming that if someone is replaced by ai it just means their work wasn't "unique". I'll tell you what's not unique, a shitshow collage made by a soulless machine. Stolen pieces from real human effort taken in and comitted out to promote SLOP. And on the subreddit of my beloved childhood cartoon too. Disgusting. The artists that have worked hard to make these amazing shows possible for us would never approve of this.

+ Guess what? You don't get to censor a technology for the entire humanity simply because you don't like it. Cry more.

+ Idiot who doesn't know how artists work.

Oh and the user above was banned
