What tools do you use for forecasting in addition to excel? We use workday at my institution. I have a PI that wants me to give him projections on what his grant balances will be after we account for his summer salary. The problem is, workday does not calculate the balance until an additional approval process is completed. This approval process doesn’t happen until the end of May. I could do the calculations manually but it would take a bit of time as he is a high earner and I’d need to factor in fringes stopping at after 200k earned. Is there a forecasting tool you use that would be quicker than me manually completing these calculations?
