I decided to play Dead Space 1, the original again, and this game is just amazing. You just want to keep on playing to get to the next save station. to battle through the places. the story, the atmosphere, the sounds, damn... it's pure condensed dread.
To be honest, I started with Dead Space 2 a few days ago and that game is awesome, but I can remember how the game was not really frightening me, until I got the pleasure to revisit the USG Ishimura. It was so unnerving, certainly an experience I will not forget.
So after that I went back to DS1 and damn, that game just keeps ticking the right boxes. Pure dread. There's not really anything out there that does the same. It's not a hard game, but it keeps me on the edge of my seat every time I play it.
