I am planning to send my 2 year old to daycare 1x/week starting this summer and toured a home daycare yesterday. As soon as we walked in I could smell what I assume are plugs-ins or wax melts.

The home seemed very clean and has no pets so I don’t think it was covering a bad smell. I liked everything else and it’s only 1x/week but wondering if this should be a deal breaker. My child also has eczema, though didn’t start scratching or anything while there.

I Have never sent a child to daycare yet, so I am interested in hearing what you all look for in daycares, too.
