I've been staring at these two Little League diagrams for field layout for a week and I can't figure it out.
On the Junior/Senior field layout there is a 2' and a 4' perpendicular to the 1st base foul line. There is also a 3' but that's the runner's lane. On the Minor/Major layout ther eis a 1'6", 2'6", and 2', none of which seem to be the runner's lane.
I know that dirt-path-width isn't mandated so I don't think it's that. But they also have dimensions for the dirt area around the bases so maybe it is?
What are those measurements?
