Well, y'all, I did it. After posting in a thread recently about how afraid I was that my anemia was creeping back, I decided I needed to get tested. I stopped all my supplements so the test results wouldn't be skewed. It's been over a week. I went on the Labcorp website and ordered a Vitamin D test, plus an Anemia test, which looks at ferritin, B12, iron, and a lot more.

It was almost $300, and I get that's out of reach for a lot of folks. I have an FSA account I was able to use. My appointment is tomorrow afternoon. I'm nervous and scared what the results will be.

Finally happened. I turned into that person who can't see with my glasses on or off. I've got progressive lenses, and I guess it's time for a recheck. Reading or holding my phone, more comfortable with glasses off. Computer work, can't see the screen without my glasses. TV is okay without glasses, but I can't read any captions or text.

Everything was a whole lot easier when I was just nearsighted and needed my glasses for everything.

Surgery not an option.

I posted a while back about Mylan patches falling off, despite prepping my skin with an alcohol wipe, etc. And several people suggested Tegaderm dressings. I decided to try them, even though I've had allergic reactions to adhesives in the past.

It was okay at first, but now that it's been a couple of weeks, my stomach started itching last night. And sure enough, when I took everything off, I had a rash. I always change the location on my abdomen each time I change a patch.

I'm allergic to latex, but Tegaderm says it doesn't contain latex. I'm so disappointed. I've got to be able to keep these patches on, and Tegaderm does a pretty good job. But this itchy skin with a rash is uncomfortable.
