So 2 of my NP-FW50 failed to charge and I’m down to my last one. To be fair, they lasted about 6-7 years.

I was looking around Amazon and these NP FW50 batteries (even the 3rd party ones like Wasabi and RavPower) are not appearing in my feed. However, I was shown dummy batteries that hook up directly to a power bank via USBC, or v-mount batteries, or both dummy and v-mount working together as a system.

I’m looking at Neewer and Smallrig. Anyone has used their v-mount &/or dummy batteries?

Also, are the v mount batteries future-proof? So let’s say I upgrade to from the Sony a6000 to the Sony a6700, can I still use the v mount batteries?
