I've been told to seek the wisdom of the Council of Balds. Is it time?

Mid-30s Dad here. My hairline is receding and my bald spot is becoming pretty unforgiving. I do like what I see of my hair in the mirror, but admittedly am growing more self-conscious about the balding I know is back there.
So, Council of Balds, is it time? If so, where do I begin?
