I am finishing a laundry room. One side will have IKEA cabinets with a sink etc. The other side will have a built-in Pax. I’m a little concerned about the two sides not matching perfectly. I am wondering if I should paint the Pax to give it a little bit of a more customized look. I am a concerned, however, that the paint will not stick and I will regret that decision over time if it chips off. Also, I am concerned about 1/2 being painted and the other half not being painted. Should I paint them both to match? Or is painting them a bad idea altogether?

Could anybody who has done this before chime in and let me know how the paint has held up. Also the process you took to paint the doors to ensure that it was done properly thank you!
