First tattoo here. I have a tattoo appointment in 15 hours for a piece(two koi fish + kanji). I sent reference photos for the vibe I wanted, and asked for a unique design. There are hundreds of different designs about two koi fish, so I don't think it is too much to ask.
I said her I did not want a 1:1 copy of another picture but she sent me another one, the same with my reference pics. It's been 5 hours since I asked for a revision (this is my first revision request), she ghosted me and my appointment is today.
I have my engagement at the end of May, so I want it done for the healing timeline, but I’m terrified of carrying a rushed, unoriginal tattoo forever. My friends said this attitude is normal for tattoo artists, and I should still go and give it a try. but I feel uncomfortable, is this an enough reason for canceling? Should I still go and hope for the best?
