A buddy of mine and I were thinking of a good entry point for kids to get in the game. He was thinking non dangerous cryptids (Jackalope, ECT). I thought of Goosebumps. Plenty of iconic locations and monsters. Slappy would need to be the big bad for sure, and I'd personally want the Haunted Mask.
Just wondering what people think.
I used all the D&D heroes with Siren, Basilisk, and Mimic on the Word of Monsters board. It was tough but a lot of fun. The D&D heroes helped a lot. The abilities to share items or have the wizard and bard move you were huge helps against WoM deck. WoM's biggest flaw is how hard the monsters attack. There's a lot of 3 dice hits and they catch up fast, so you need to play very defensively and focus on items. My main issue is I wish the Greek Monsters had the same shape symbols for the items on their cards. Also, if anyone is good at 3D design, a token that holds the different lair tokens would be cool, and maybe some Temple tokens for the basilisk so it's easier to remember where those are. As you can see I have lair tokens in the wrong spots. That's because I didn't need lairs and they represented the temples.

I looked through and, to me, only Hades, Maui, and (sort of) Ursula fit. Ursula is more connected to a shrine for Poseidon/King Triton.
Used only rattle can primer and speed paint markers.
