State of things: Uber X in Houston, TX
-NO ride quests
-NO boost zones last several weeks (with the exception of a couple dollars per active hour at the two airports)…these boost zones have been a staple here for most of the year, really helped boost these awful fares, made up for non tippers, and practically eliminated those $3-$4 ride requests…seems like this went away when they updated the app from “opportunities” tab to “discover” tab
-LOWER fares, if you’re hovering close to $30/hour with full time hours this week in Houston, consider yourself blessed atp
-ABYSMAL tip rates
Somehow it keeps getting worse out there, even with gas up 50%+ in the last 2 months, huge uber earnings report this week, and strong demand for rides, we just keep getting rammed…but yeah, thanks uber for the couple dollars of fuel cash back 🤡, yall barely beat out Sam’s Club CC cash back…….
Hopefully Saturday and Mother’s Day Sunday boosts me back up because I’m at 37 hours, right between $23-$24/hour, that just won’t cut it for me….if this continues much longer, uber x in Houston is no better than a SMALL part time gig
