I am in love with the brand Toast. Yes, they are very expensive, but I think their clothes are super high quality (and they offer free repairs), and I don't see similar silhouettes elsewhere. I was thrilled when they opened a few stores in NYC in the last couple years. However, now that we can order from the US, their US prices have jumped by a huge amount. Like, many items on their US website (most of the pants) are about $200 more than the *same items* on their UK website (accounting for the conversion from pounds to dollars). Has anyone else noticed this? And can anyone figure out why they would be doing this, other than price gouging? It just seems insane to me. I'm willing to pay for high-quality ethical clothes, but not THAT much -- especially when it's apparent that we're being overcharged here in the US.
