How should I go about this?

This antique Cavalier cedar chest was in the basement of the house I moved into. It’s got a few layers of paint. I already applied citra strip and I’m leaving it on overnight. I plan to have this be on my front covered porch. I need to fill in a few spots with wood filler and change the hinges and I want a wood finish but a little bit of an Anthropology weathered look and I want it to be as protected as possible since it will be outside. How should I go about this after stripping the paint?
