[GoG] Thank you Anonymous for Factorio! (+Space Age expansion)

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for gifting me Factorio; you are awesome.

Not only did he gift me the base game, but the legend also went above and beyond and got me The Space Age expansion despite me not including it in my request. Just know that it really means a lot to me and that I will never forget your kindness and generosity. I'm really excited to finally be able to fully dive into the game.

Hey everyone, hope you’re all having a great day. I'm writing this to request Factorio, a game that I’ve wanted to get into for a while. This is the first game I ever requested, and I'm still learning how to do this, so I hope my second attempt is better.

I’ve always enjoyed games with deep mechanics that gradually increase in complexity the more you progress through them, games that you can sink hundreds of hours into, and games where you can work to build something you are proud of. Lately, though I have been spending most of my gaming time playing multiplayer games like CS2 and Valorant and roguelites like The Binding of Isaac, and while I enjoy the replayability and quick bursts of intensity those games offer, I also miss playing games where you slowly work to build something more lasting and meaningful.

When I was growing up, I spent hundreds of hours on games like SimCity, RollerCoaster Tycoon, Minecraft and Civilization IV, even if I still go back to revisit some of them from time to time. I want to get into a new game that is more complex but still captures the same feeling of progression. Factorio is a game that many friends have recommended to me over the years, so a couple of months back I went into the official website and noticed you can download a demo to see if you like the game. So I did, and after trying it, I’m convinced this is the game I'm looking for.

Being stranded on an alien planet and using your engineering skills to build an automated industrial empire is a premise that I find really interesting. I’ve heard that the soundtrack and sound design are superb and really fit the game, and the graphics remind me of games like the first two Fallout games and other classic CRPGs in the best way possible.

Due to medical issues in my family and the limited income from my part-time job, it has been a while since I've been able to allocate any significant budget to my hobby of gaming, so I haven't been able to afford many games I really want to play. I spend most of the day working and studying so having a deep game I can get into to get my mind off things and unwind after a long day would mean a lot to me.

I strongly believe that if someone gifts you a game out of respect and gratitude you have to actually play it. If I’m lucky and someone is generous enough to help me out, I can promise it’s not going to just sit in my library unplayed.

Hello, hope everyone is doing well. I really want to get into Factorio but I can't currently afford to buy it, so I'm making this post hoping I get lucky and someone is able to help me out.

So recently, a close family member experienced a medical emergency, which has led to significant medical expenses over the past few months with no end in sight. My other family members and I have been helping cover said expenses; whoever this really has been particularly difficult for me because my current job doesn't really pay that much. I have no problem helping out because I love said family member very much; however, because of this situation, it has been a long time since I have been able to afford buying games I want to play unless they are extremely cheap.

Factorio is a game tons of friends have recommended to me because I love getting into survival games and complex management/simulation games. I tried the demo from the official website a while back and really enjoyed it. So I really believe it could be a game I would be able to get hundreds of hours of enjoyment from, I also really like the art style that reminds me to the classic Fallout games and other classic CRPGs and I dig the premise of being stranded in a hostile alien world and building a factory.

Sadly, this is one of those games that is a little too expensive for me to be able to afford. I would normally wait for a sale, but this might be the only game on Steam that never goes on sale as it can be seen in SteamDB: https://steamdb.info/app/427520/

Anyway, sorry for writing so much. I'm already really thankful to anyone that takes the time to read my post. I really hope someone is able to fulfill my request, and I can't wait to build my own factory.

Really thankful for the game, I played the original a while back on my Wii U so I was really interested to see what they improved on the sequel. so far I'm not disappointed, the art and music are amazing and the movement is tighter (particularly blinking). anyway I have really been enjoying the game so far so thanks and I wish you the best.

I hate this practice in the industry where games that don't even actually exist yet or are in a very early stage of production are announced with trailers or teasers and then you dont hear anything about them for years and years, one of the most infamous examples that come to mind for me are the remake for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars Eclipse.
