I read the book after watching the movie, and since I really loved the movie, I might be a little biased - but this honestly felt like one of the best books I’ve ever read.

Reading it brought me so much joy, and I appreciate the screenplay for the movie even more now. It feels like the film and the book complement each other perfectly. They almost seem to be in conversation with one another through slightly modified scenes.

The book is packed with details and physics explanations, and I constantly found myself stopping to think about everything I had just read. And what a kind story with such a lovely ending! I just want to re-read it again and again.

The last times I enjoyed reading this much were with American Gods, Witcher series, Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman! (not really fiction, though), and Perdido Street Station (not a very happy ending, though).

I’d love to hear any recommendations for books that combine sci-fi (not necessarily), friendship, and a happy ending (a must).
