Has competitive international games become backhand-focused?

After the recent ittf worlds, I cannot help but realise that table tennis has shifted to a more backhand-focused style where players prioritise on being fast, near the table, instead of long rallies of strength further away from the table?

I mean just look harimoto Vs LJK, most of the match is just someone serves, they do a few touches, then someone initiates a backhand, then they do backhands to backhands and someone hit the ball to the net.

Since the Chinese will still proceed into the knockout stages anyways, could it be that they were intentionally sandbagging by not showing too much tactics and hence did not win during the group stages?

Hear me out. Assume they do in fact have tactics that will beat the other teams (Japan, Korea, France Sweden etc), but they just choose not to show them during group stages because showing it early might let the team have the chance to decipher it earlier, making it less effective during knockout stages.

It's almost like they know for sure they're gonna win as long as they hide their tactics well and unleash it during knockout stages so that the opponents could not adapt quickly enough during the match itself, so seeding doesn't even matter to them anyways.

This is just a conspiracy lol, no hate please
