Today I walked through my apartment hallway twice while maintenance workers were doing work nearby. I smelled strong chemical/spray paint fumes for maybe ~5 minutes total. Later management told me they were using Rust-Oleum Hard Hat spray enamel paint.
I was not directly spraying it, not inside the room where they were working, and the exposure was brief, but after reading the SDS warnings about possible harm to unborn babies I spiraled a bit. I did have a mild headache afterward but otherwise feel okay and baby is moving normally.
Has anyone had a similar brief incidental exposure during pregnancy? I’ve already messaged my OB, but I would really appreciate hearing from others who have dealt with accidental solvent/paint exposures and what their doctors told them.
